I have been serving others since I was a kid and my brain has always been enamored with creating a better mouse trap. I had my heart set on becoming a contractor and transforming neighborhoods one home at a time through sound construction, creative vision, but most of all support for my community and those in it. This vision however was derailed be fore it had a chance to begin.
2009, I was a a high school graduate with an associates degree in construction technology, entering a housing market that was in the middle of one of the worst market crashes in history. Like so. Many others, my dream was put on hold for a more realistic reality.
I went back to school to studying marketing and got a job in sales/customer service which would eventually pay for most of my schooling, a wedding, supporting a spouse through school, and purchasing our first home.
I had a job, a wife, a home, but couldn’t shake the desire for helping others on a more substantial journey than just buying a cell phone. That’s right I was that guy that transferred your pictures, and set up your voicemail and ended up doing so for 7 long retail years.
Seeing what people I cared about went through in 2008 and beyond gave me a different perspective of what it means to not only own a home but what happens when you sell it, and why do you have to give up so much of your life largest investment to do so.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve spent many years, and countless hours honing my craft and navigating complex negotiations to establish skills that have worth, but I believe for too long and far too often Realtors exploit this fact. These days, hours, years of experience have value but at what cost to our community and do we truly use them to the best of our abilities?
The simple answer is no, and I’ve set out to change that, as envisioned doing so many years ago, one home at a time.
For the average person home ownership is the greatest wealth building tool available and its time you keep more of that wealth for your next home or adventure, wherever that may take you. 2008 showed us how quickly things can change and lets not forget the scars we all still have from 2020.
I’m on a mission: I help home sellers keep more money by doing what other agents won’t.
